Celebrating 100 Years of Manitoba Women's Right to Vote Events

Let Them Howl

October 18, 2015

“Never explain, never retract, never apologize, just get the thing done and let them howl” Nellie McClung

Join us for a re-telling and re-enactment of the famous ‘mock-parliament’ play that featured Nellie McClung and her peers in the Political Equality League.

The curtain rises on a key event in our nation’s history that set the stage for political victory, and ultimately gained Manitoban women the right to vote!

Invite your friends for some laughs, refreshments, and great company. Let Them Howl will showcase the talent and comedic skills of 35 of Manitoba’s best-loved leaders, celebrities, entrepreneurs and notables.

An engaging, hilarious and entertaining celebration to kick-off the 100th anniversary of this important milestone, and that dares to ask (and hopefully answer) the question “Are we taking advantage of our hard-won democratic rights?”
